SKC Annual Picnic, Awards & Scentwork Demonstration with Pat Tetrault

Come join us for our annual SKC picnic and awards celebration on June 2, 2026 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the 4H Training Center located at 556 Middleline Road in Ballston Spa, NY  12020.

There will be scentwork demonstration by Pat Tetrault, Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) ORT Judge (Odor Recognition Test), AKC CGC Evaluator and Trick Dog Judge.  Pat & her Stoli Siberians have earned 3 of te coveted NACSW Elite Champion titles in K9 Nosework.  She currently competes with 3 of her Siberians and has recently started her young puppy on her nosework journey. Pat also shows her dogs in conformation and has produced many AKC Champions.  “I was once told that a well balanced dog has titles on both ends”.

This demonstration will consist of having someone place a “hide” in an area unknown to the demo dog.  Spectators can watch as the dog follows the odor cone back to the odor source and receives their reward.  Nosework dogs can search interiors, exteriors, vehicles or containers.

Question and answer time will be available.

The club will provide meats for the picnic and request members bring pot luck dishes to share.
